UniPrint Appoints David Fung as Director of Sales & Marketing
Veteran business development expert bolsters management team
Toronto, Ontario, November 29, 2011 – UniPrint (www.uniprint.net), the innovative leader in printing virtualization for server-centric environments, today announced the appointment of David Fung as Director of Sales and Marketing. Mr. Fung will be responsible for building on UniPrint’s impressive worldwide sales record for its award-winning suite of patented, PDF-based universal printer driver technology. Mr. Fung returns to UniPrint having co-founded the company in 2000.
“This hire represents a real coup for UniPrint,” said Arron Fu, VP of Software Development at UniPrint. “Recruiting someone with David’s knowledge of both the industry, and of UniPrint’s unique approach, is an opportunity that doesn’t come around every day. It is an exciting time for everyone involved with UniPrint as we continue to expand internationally and increase the breadth of our product offerings. Bringing David on board at this time underscores our commitment to employing the very best people to support our aggressive growth strategy.”
Mr. Fung brings with him over 30 years of industry experience during which he co-founded Charon Systems Inc. Under his direction, Charon grew to become the largest system integrator of Citrix in Canada before its eventual sale to Bell Canada, Canada’s largest telecommunications company, in 2004. He went on to assume an EVP position at Bell Canada’s Business Solutions Inc. arm before co-founding eCommerce shopping platform, Wishabi.
“Businesses are quickly realizing that addressing their printing infrastructure challenges can result in enterprise-wide efficiencies,” commented Mr. Fung. “Printing is a fundamental business requirement. Everyone within an organization needs to be able to print exactly what and where they want. UniPrint’s unique suite of products radically simplifies and streamlines the printing processes in server-based computing environments. UniPrint is a hugely innovative and forward looking company. My vision for our next phase of growth is to capitalize on our existing suite of products and develop new ones that will address ongoing security concerns when it comes to printing as well as the increasing need to facilitate users on personal devices such as tablets.”
The UniPrint Suite consists of 6 printing solutions that integrate seamlessly with one another, supporting any server platform, operation system and client platform. Its solutions enable fast and consistent printing, simplify management, and optimize the use of available bandwidth across networks.
